From 18^th to 19^th, Sept. 2014, the 8^th China International Rescue & Salvage Conference (CIRSC) and the 2^nd Asia-Pacific Regional Development Meeting were successfully held in Shanghai.  They were hosted by Rescue and Salvage Association of China Institute of Navigation and co-organized by Donghai Rescue Bureau.  The theme for the 8^th CIRSC was “Strengthen Cooperation, Cope with Challenge”.  More than 260 representatives from 15 countries and regional government departments, rescue institutes, colleges and enterprises participated in the conference, discussing to deepen rescue & salvage cooperation and communication, strengthen marine emergency response capability.
